Template Licensing, Explained Simply
Whether you’re grabbing a free template or buying full commercial rights, here’s what each license actually means.
Personal License
Free: Use it for yourself – personal projects, practice, non-commercial mockups. Not for anything tied to a business, product, or income of any kind.
Commercial License
Paid: Use the template for your own business or a single client project. You get full usage rights, but the template itself isn’t exclusive to you; others may license the same design.
Custom / Exclusive
Project-based pricing: We personalize the template to your brand (colors, type, name, refinements), and if you want the mark retired from sale so it’s yours alone, that’s available too. This is the closest option to a fully custom logo.
Not sure which one you need? If you’re building a real business around this mark, go Commercial at a minimum. If you want something no one else can use, go Custom/Exclusive.
